Jack Black (School of Rock). Farvorite band experiences include 80's pop group heavyweight
Expose', and award winning Australian pop group
Human Nature. Recording sessions include pre-records for the
American Music Awards and the
Academy Awards. Broadway albums at
Abbey Road Studio (UK), and dozens of TV shows and jingles. Tony has played on an array of Broadway shows, national and international tours, with symphony orchestras and at jazz festivals. Recent jazz concerts include Glenn Williams,
Les Paul Trio, and the
Ed Palermo Big Band at top venues like
The Iridium,
The Cutting Room, and the
Philadelphia Jazz Festival and the
MontClair Jazz Festival. Tony actively writes and performs with his own band, The Tony DeAugustine Quartet. Dedicated to music education, he has taught at the
Armed Forces School of Music,
Dick Grove School of Music, Day Jams,
Music and Arts and
Sam Ash Stores, and maintains a schedule of private students. His educational books include "Creating the Consistent Drummer" and many others located on this site. You can find articles from Tony on the
